Where
Did The Time Go?
Where did the time go?
Just yesterday, I held you in my arms
Marveling at your face, your tiny fingers, those little toes.
Where did the time go?
Just yesterday, you cut your first tooth, took your first step
Started exploring the world on your own.
Where did the time go?
Just yesterday, I walked you to school for the first time,
Pinned your first drawings to the fridge.
Where did the time go?
Just yesterday, you turned thirteen, began to notice boys
Giggled and told secrets to your friends.
Where did the time go?
Just yesterday, you held your child in your arms,
Marveling at her little face, her tiny fingers, her little
toes
My darling daughter, where did the time go? |

On
November 14th, my daughter, Misty, my only little girl, my
youngest child, turned 21 years old. It seems like only a
moment ago that she was just a baby, and now she is a grown
woman, with children of her own. I wanted to celebrate this
momentous occasion by making her a 21st Birthday Quilt, and so
I turned to my friends on the Internet, who came through with
flying colors and provided me with all the wonderful squares
below to help me say "Happy 21st Birthday, Misty!" |

Turn Around
Where are you
going my little one, little one
Where are you going my baby my own
Turn around and you’re two, turn around and you’re four
Turn around and you’re a young girl going out of the door
Where are you going my little one, little one
*Dirndls* and petticoats, where have you gone
Turn around and you’re tiny, turn around and you’re grown
Turn around and you’re a young wife with babes of your own
Turn around (turn around)
Turn around and you’re a young wife with babes of your own
Where are you going my little one, little one
Where are you going my baby my own
Turn around and you’re two, turn around and you’re four
Turn around and you’re a young girl going out of my door
Turn around (turn around)
Turn around and you’re a young girl going out of my door
Where are you going my little one, little one
*Dirndls* and petticoats, where have you gone
Turn around and you’re tiny, turn around and you’re grown
Turn around and you’re a young wife with babes of your own
Turn around (turn around)
Turn around and you’re a young wife with babes
of your own
